I have set the two license servers and ports in the License setting applications, both servers test with a green tick and have been saved.<\/p>
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/30-11-2024-1732973428-mceclip0.png\" width=\"112\" height=\"83\" \/><\/p>
I open Workbench and it has full functionality and seems to be licensed and working.<\/p>
However, when I then open an existing Mechanical model through Workbench, it opens in Read-Only configuration and I get the below message:<\/p>
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/30-11-2024-1732973556-mceclip1.png\" width=\"734\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>
If I close all applications and open just the mechanical application and start a new (blank) project, then it also opens in Read-Only and I get the same error.<\/p>
University IT support informs me that the license should grant me access to all features of Ansys, so should not be a limitation of the license and there doesn’t seem to be any errors with the license and its configuration.<\/p>
I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling all applications and restarting a number of times, with no luck.<\/p><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-395844","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-mechanicalworkbench-1","topic-tag-academiclicense-1","topic-tag-license-error","topic-tag-mechanical","topic-tag-read-only"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27796"],"_bbp_topic_id":["395844"],"_bbp_subscription":["487512","68381"],"_bbp_author_ip":["138.38.94.17"],"_bbp_reply_count":["3"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_engagement":["487512","68381"],"_btv_view_count":["207"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_notification_enabled":["487512"],"_edit_last":["487512"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["396144"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["396144"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-12-03 17:36:49"]},"test":"269a57ee1480bcc29f20829a29c8f80244f53a55"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/395844","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/395844\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=395844"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
