{"id":395512,"date":"2024-11-27T10:23:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T10:23:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-with-vmware-and-cpu-configuration-im-lost-good-practice\/"},"modified":"2024-11-27T10:23:03","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T10:23:03","slug":"ansys-with-vmware-and-cpu-configuration-im-lost-good-practice","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-with-vmware-and-cpu-configuration-im-lost-good-practice\/","title":{"rendered":"Ansys with Vmware and CPU configuration : I&#8217;m lost, good practice?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;div&gt;Hello, I currently have a vmware server running esxi 7.0.3 with an Nvidia VGPU graphics card.&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I run 6 windows virtual machines on it with Ansys.&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The machines are not used for computation, I have a dedicated server for that.&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;It&#8217;s more for pre-processing.&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Here is the machine&#8217;s processor configuration :&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/27-11-2024-1732702554-mceclip0.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;I&#8217;m not used to configuring virutal machines for this kind of product and I&#8217;m at a loss as to how to configure the processor to get the best performance.&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Do you have any best practices to give me, or tell me how to configure this?
