When I use the summation method: orientation system or centroid, the moment is read relative to the undisplaced centroid of the contact. I need the summation point to be at the centroid of the displaced contact. Is there any way to do this automatically? The only solution I have found is to move the coordinate system exactly by the value the geometry moves, but this is too labor-intensive to do for many contacts and many timesteps.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>When the summation point does not move with the mesh, this results in a false reading of the moments. <\/p><p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/21-11-2024-1732193809-mceclip3.png\" \/><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/21-11-2024-1732193847-mceclip4.png\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-394773","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["241700","20905","461937","598175"],"_bbp_author_ip":["46.205.205.33"],"_btv_view_count":["948"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["394773"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27796"],"_bbp_voice_count":["3"],"_bbp_reply_count":["4"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["441883"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["441883"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-09-22 04:37:15"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["1"],"_bbp_engagement":["20905","241700","598175"],"_bbp_status":["publish"]},"test":"jo9fingmail-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/394773","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/394773\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=394773"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
