


{"id":393948,"date":"2024-11-15T01:53:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-15T01:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/leakage-inductance-realization-in-transformer\/"},"modified":"2024-12-14T05:05:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-14T05:05:35","slug":"leakage-inductance-realization-in-transformer","status":"answered","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/leakage-inductance-realization-in-transformer\/","title":{"rendered":"Leakage inductance realization in transformer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;Hello&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I am trying to simulate and calculate leakage inductance of transformer in Ansys&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=&#8221;font-size: 14pt;&#8221;&gt;I attached 2 100kHz transformer core into 1 single core, the turn ration is 16:16 with 2 consecutive primary layer and 2 consecutive secondary layer, I put air gap to the winding leg to design magnetizing inductance, plz see the photo for more details. &lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=&#8221;font-size: 14pt;&#8221;&gt;But when I check and calculate Leakage inductance base on Self inductance and Mutual inductance result. The leakage inductance is big and only seen in secondary side. With symetrical winding like this I think the leakage inductance is same for both primary and secondary side.&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=&#8221;font-size: 14pt;&#8221;&gt;Is there anyone having experience on this?.
