We are working on a solar dryer that will use heat from the sun and a fan to dry corn kernels. How can I set up a simple analysis of how much heat will be transferred to the air if there is a ‘heat source’ (tarp or fluid being heated by sun) in the fluid volume? I cannot get the heat to transfer to the fluid in any way, and boundary conditions are getting me stuck in Ansys Discovery. Am I spending too much time on the wrong software (Workbench vs. discovery vs. fluent vs. setup(?))? What does the usual workflow look like when doing a Fluent thermal simulation? Is Discovery powerful enough to do what I want? Do I need to mesh the model (I can’t get meshing to work or do anything meaningful) before i can get the fluid and walls to interact thermally? I am very lost and need guidance. Thanks to anyone who might be willing to help.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-393376","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-meshingerror-1","topic-tag-ansys-cfd-1","topic-tag-ansys-thermal-1","topic-tag-boundary-conditions-error-1","topic-tag-fluent"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["477926","23673"],"_bbp_author_ip":["192.147.249.189"],"_btv_view_count":["149"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["393376"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27792"],"_bbp_engagement":["23673","477926"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["1"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["393396"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["393396"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-11-08 21:01:30"]},"test":"anthony-spinozzigmail-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/393376","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/393376\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=393376"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
