I used edges and faces to define the weld. I also tried the midsurfaces method, but the geometry is quite complex, so it didn&#8217;t work in this case.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/06-11-2024-1730902429-mceclip1.png\" \/>&lt;br&gt;This is the geometry.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/11\/06-11-2024-1730902539-mceclip2.png\" \/>&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The butt welding that I need to simulate with a 2mm bevel.&nbsp;&lt;br&gt;Could anyone help me resolve this issue?
