I am trying to simulate a modulator, as shown in the schematic below. In my simulation, LNO and Si are defined as semiconductors while SiO2 is defined as a dielectric. I use two gold contacts on the side. I set the potential of one of the contacts to zero while the voltage applied to the second contact is being swept from 0 V to 5 V. I record the electric field in the LNO. As seen in the image below, the spatial distribution of the absolute value of the electric field in the LNO appears asymmetric. This does not make much sense to me. Where do you think this could be coming from?<\/p><p class=”MsoNormal”> <\/p><p class=”MsoNormal”>Thank you!<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/29-10-2024-1730246204-mceclip1.png\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/29-10-2024-1730246192-mceclip0.png\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-391875","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_author_ip":["131.215.220.163"],"_btv_view_count":["283"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_subscription":["2592","192317"],"_bbp_topic_id":["391875"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27833"],"_bbp_engagement":["2592","192317"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["10"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["393037"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["393037"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-11-06 17:13:47"]},"test":"sokhoyancaltech-edu"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/391875","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/391875\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=391875"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
