For a couple of other models that I’ve done, the eroded internal energy is positive. I’m not sure if it’s something to do with the surface A or surface B definition, but the context is that this is for a deformable projectile and a rigid target, where the erosion happens in the projectile, and in my other model it’s a deformable target. I’ve also turned ENMASS on, but the material model and contact definition has erosion criteria turned on. Just wondering if it starting with kinetic energy vs without kinetic energy dictates whether the eroded IE is positive or negative? Thanks.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/14-10-2024-1728901173-mceclip0.png\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-389461","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-LS-DYNAruntime-1","topic-tag-explicit","topic-tag-impact-1"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["469702","13694"],"_bbp_author_ip":["1.42.164.16"],"_btv_view_count":["1374"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["389461"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27796"],"_bbp_engagement":["13694","469702"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["6"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["390249"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["390249"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-10-17 13:08:56"]},"test":"5969e0b8bcf0e5816d389109d84607009ffdcafa"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/389461","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/389461\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=389461"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
