To reduce computational costs and time, I’m considering not meshing the main structure directly. Instead, I know the maximum deformation of the structure, which occurs symmetrically at its center, and I would like to apply this directly in the simulation settings using a remote displacement linked to the faces of the connected parts.<\/p><p>Is it possible to simulate the stiffness of the structure in a way that realistically transmits the force to the connected parts, as if the structure itself were fully meshed?<\/p><p>Has anyone tried a similar approach or could suggest the best practices for setting up such a model using remote displacement, or other tools?<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/10-10-2024-1728550847-mceclip0.png\" width=\"505\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-389012","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-remote-displacement","topic-tag-stiffness-behaviour"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["432203","58821"],"_bbp_author_ip":["62.152.125.38"],"_btv_view_count":["180"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["389012"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27791"],"_bbp_engagement":["58821","432203"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["1"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["389016"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["389016"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-10-10 09:14:22"]},"test":"valerio-arcaricarpecarbon-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/389012","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/389012\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=389012"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
