However, I am encountering an issue where, as the plane slides along the curved surface, the gap between the surfaces increases unexpectedly. This leads to a change in the contact status to “no contact,” which affects the accuracy of my simulation.<\/p><p>Could anyone advise on the correct contact settings for this type of interaction? Specifically, I’m unsure how to handle the sliding behavior and gap formation. Any tips on improving contact stability or preventing loss of contact would be greatly appreciated.<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/04-10-2024-1728015928-contact_problem.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"587\" height=\"207\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/04-10-2024-1728015998-mceclip0.png\" width=\"263\" height=\"280\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/04-10-2024-1728016033-mceclip1.png\" width=\"196\" height=\"226\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/04-10-2024-1728016081-mceclip2.png\" width=\"263\" height=\"386\" \/><\/p><p>Thank you in advance for your help!<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-388075","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-ansyscontact-1","topic-tag-ansys-mechanical","topic-tag-curved-surface-1"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["417954","58821","185782"],"_bbp_author_ip":["14.241.43.179"],"_btv_view_count":["212"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["388075"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27791"],"_bbp_engagement":["58821","185782","417954"],"_bbp_voice_count":["3"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["389805"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["389805"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-10-15 13:26:57"]},"test":"eae91311a53208f50bbc24b63ed58996975a1d41"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/388075","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/388075\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=388075"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
