I have been working with Fluent for a few months, but I suddenly had an issue opening the Ansys Mesher. When I open Ansys Mesher through the Workbench, an error appears. The error reads, “Error waiting for Meshing initialization to complete. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.” The details under the error are shown below. The Workbench also produces a popup saying “AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written: …\/Temp\/AnsysWBDumpFile.dmp”. <\/p>\n

One strange aspect about this error is that Ansys Meshing is the only program experiencing problems. I can still open Fluent and SpaceClaim. Additionally, Fluent Meshing still works fine. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I should also mention that I have tried opening a new Workbench file, trying a different CAD file (which has definitely worked historically), checking drivers for my video card, and following the suggestions here<\/a>. <\/p>\n
