


{"id":38519,"date":"2019-10-23T16:40:10","date_gmt":"2019-10-23T16:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fsi-error-display-object-no-rendering-surfaces-have-been-set\/"},"modified":"2019-10-23T16:40:10","modified_gmt":"2019-10-23T16:40:10","slug":"fsi-error-display-object-no-rendering-surfaces-have-been-set","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fsi-error-display-object-no-rendering-surfaces-have-been-set\/","title":{"rendered":"FSI Error: display-object: No rendering surfaces have been set"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I am performing FSI analysis through the &#8220;System Coupling&#8221; block with Transient Structural and Fluent.&nbsp; My simulation runs fine but at the end throws this error from Fluent.&nbsp; The error messages are shown below.&nbsp; This is annoying because the Solution won&#8217;t update in either the structural or fluids blocks &#8211; so I can&#8217;t see the solution even though it successfully completed!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/8babacfe-69bd-457f-8c79-a9e90018d38c\/a5601efb-e8a4-486c-92f1-aaef0110d3db_sys-couple-errors.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I think part of the problem may be that there are these two indestructible surfaces in Fluent that might be the problem.&nbsp; I open Fluent, delete these two surfaces, close Fluent, then open it again &#8211; and the surfaces are back.&nbsp; Here shows no planes right after I delete them:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/8babacfe-69bd-457f-8c79-a9e90018d38c\/a749f72c-55bb-45e9-9b31-aaef0112134d_planes-not-present.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Under Surfaces there is nothing.&nbsp; Now I close Fluent and open it again&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/8babacfe-69bd-457f-8c79-a9e90018d38c\/ab44fb32-65e5-4188-a12c-aaef0112370c_planes-present.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>And they are back.&nbsp; When I click Display for plane-5 I see a plane in the model, but NOT for plane-6.&nbsp; Nothing shows up for plane-6 at all.&nbsp; Could this be the problem?&nbsp; How do I fix it if I can&#8217;t delete these things?
