I want to uniformly add mass(just like using MASS21 element) using the point mass option in Workbench16.0 on a beam(line body). But when I use point mass on a&nbsp; line body it concentrates at the center and does not distribute uniformly. I also tried named selection for all the nodes on the beam and tried to use the scoping method as named selection in point mass dialog box while scoping. But it could not be done. Then, I tried direct attachment for a named selection having a single node. It can be done but I don&#8217;t know if I am doing it correctly or not. Also,&nbsp; what is the difference between direct and remote attachment in point mass option?
