<p>Hi there,<br>since the topic AEDT – Maxwell 3D Update Link to SpaceClaim Model (ansys.com)<\/a> is closed for replies, I’d like to follow up on it here.<\/p><div>The suggestions are not providing the success I was hoping for. When I move the original SpaceClaim model and open both files (the project in AEDT and the CAD model in SpaceClaim), AEDT doesn’t recognize the SpaceClaim link.<\/div><div>Every time I try to update the changes from SpaceClaim in AEDT (which I usually do in AEDT by right-clicking on the component and clicking “Generate”), AEDT tries to open the CAD file in the old location, which of course doesn’t work.<\/div><div>The properties of the linked model still show the old “GeometryFilePath”. Unfortunately, I can only view this entry, not update it to the correct location.<\/div><div> <\/div><div>Is there a way to update the link that doesn’t generate a new copy\/import from SpaceClaim that would have to reassign all the boundary conditions?<\/div><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-381894","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-ansys-maxwell-3d","topic-tag-cad","topic-tag-link-2","topic-tag-regenerate","topic-tag-spaceclaim","topic-tag-update"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t
