The Von Mises stress distribution is just as expected, about 100 MPa (the cross section area of the beam is 100 mm x 100 mm).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/026ab1ad-dee0-4efa-9975-aad300eeb9f2\/93cd223e-2846-4897-a060-aad300f566b0_capture-setup.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/026ab1ad-dee0-4efa-9975-aad300eeb9f2\/1c98a241-8cfb-4d17-8495-aad300f57cb3_capture-stress.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Later on, I attached the results from this analysis to a modal analysis, and finally I did the same with the results from the modal analysis to a harmonic analysis, with a base excitation of 100 m\/s&sup2;.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/026ab1ad-dee0-4efa-9975-aad300eeb9f2\/39dca277-590c-4551-884b-aad300f684fc_capture2.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However, the stress distribution of the harmonic analysis is nowhere near 100 MPa, which is the stress from the static structural analysis.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/026ab1ad-dee0-4efa-9975-aad300eeb9f2\/8034a4ea-a3d0-4224-8ccf-aad300f7f54a_capture3.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Could anyone explain to me why this happens?
