The goal is to be able to simulate the interactions between the fluid and solid regions as a fluid flows through the pipe.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Currently my mesh looks like this:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/83d01e3a-793e-4b50-9d80-aab800a60d4f\/78578943-4a32-4da7-b7fb-aad100fd5dd7_1.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"402\" height=\"328\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/83d01e3a-793e-4b50-9d80-aab800a60d4f\/bb8dccc0-455b-4c73-abac-aad100fdd43a_1.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"419\" height=\"282\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The issue I am currently having is that meshes at the walls of the interface to not match, which can be seen in the image below in the way that the radial &#8216;spokes&#8217; (lines) do not line up. This is a consequence in the way in which I made the mesh. I created each region in individual files and combined the results to get the mesh I currently have.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/83d01e3a-793e-4b50-9d80-aab800a60d4f\/336327f0-dc0f-40bf-9441-aad100fe5f63_1.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I have tried to remedy this situation in the following two ways, but both do not give good results.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>1). Using the &#8220;Align Nodes&#8221; tool, I can only get the radial spokes to like up on a face but the alignment does not get applied to the rest of the simulation. Only one face is aligned properly and the rest of the mesh is unaltered.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>2). Using the &#8220;Merge Meshes&#8221; tool, I am able to align the meshes at the interface but I get poor results.
