However, I&#8217;m able to use software when I launch individual apps such as fluent.&nbsp; We have a network license server.&nbsp; I know the licence server is up and running because I can use workbench on another computer running an older version and it can launch workbench without errors. I can log into the license server as Administrator and I can see other people are able to get licenses.&nbsp; &nbsp;This new installation is verison 2024R2.&nbsp; I updated the license server software to this same version.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I edited client computer&#8217;s ansyslmd.ini file to:<\/p>\n<p>SERVER=1055@(our license server host name)<\/p>\n<p>ANSYSLI_FNP_IP_ENV=1<br \/>ANSYSLI_TIMEOUT_FLEXLM=20<br \/>ANSYSLI_FLEXLM_TIMEOUT_ENV=20000000<br \/>ANSYSCL_TIMEOUT_CONNECT=60<br \/>ANSYSCL_TIMEOUT_RESPONSE=300<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I also added the FLEXLM_TIMEOUT system ENV with value of 50000000<\/p>\n<p>SetA<\/p>\n<p>C:\\Users\\soeadmin&gt;set A<br \/>ADSK_3DSMAX_x64_2025=C:\\apps\\Autodesk\\3ds Max 2025\\<br \/>ALLUSERSPROFILE=C:\\ProgramData<br \/>ANSYS242_DIR=C:\\apps\\ANSYS Inc\\v242\\ANSYS<br \/>ANSYS_EM_DONOT_PRELOAD_3DDRIVER_DLL=1<br \/>APPDATA=C:\\Users\\soeadmin\\AppData\\Roaming<br \/>AWP_LOCALE242=en-us<br \/>AWP_ROOT242=C:\\apps\\ANSYS Inc\\v242<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I deleted the ANSYS data in %appdata%.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m able to ping the license server.&nbsp; When I run the license utility I get a green check mark.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure what else to check.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/09-08-2024-1723192589-workbench_error.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-377781","topic","type-topic","status-answered","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Hi, I can&#039;t get a license when I use workbench.
