{"id":374692,"date":"2024-08-01T14:28:43","date_gmt":"2024-08-01T14:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/how-to-improve-the-results-of-an-optimization-in-optislang\/"},"modified":"2024-08-01T14:28:43","modified_gmt":"2024-08-01T14:28:43","slug":"how-to-improve-the-results-of-an-optimization-in-optislang","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/how-to-improve-the-results-of-an-optimization-in-optislang\/","title":{"rendered":"How to improve the results of an optimization in optislang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello everyone,<\/p>\n<p>I am working on a CFD simulation of a design that I would like to optimise usig Fluent + optislang.<\/p>\n<p>The process I have been following is: 1) sensitivity analysis; 2) MOP; 3) optimization wizard on the MOP.<\/p>\n<p>The first two steps are okay but when I run the optimization my results are wrong, I obtain a pareto front like this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/01-08-2024-1722521802-mceclip0.png\" width=\"448\" height=\"310\"><\/p>\n<p>but I know it&#8217;s wrong because the quantity that I have on the y axis cannot be negative.<\/p>\n<p>I have also solved some points and their outputs are very different from the predicted ones:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/01-08-2024-1722521930-mceclip1.png\" width=\"309\" height=\"255\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/01-08-2024-1722521956-mceclip2.png\" width=\"311\" height=\"253\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/01-08-2024-1722522204-mceclip4.png\" width=\"467\" height=\"317\"><\/p>\n<p>I think the only reason for this to happen is the bad quality of the MOP, but if I check my MOP most of them have good quality:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/08\/01-08-2024-1722522187-mceclip3.png\" width=\"568\" height=\"364\"><\/p>\n<p>I tried to improve further the avg_pli model but the best I can get is 73%, which I don&#8217;t think is that bad to give me such wrong values.
