I am trying to calculate the multimode optical fiber losses with bend radius. I do have questions over the following two topics:<\/p>\n

  1. How can I calculate the losses? shall I track\/sweep several modes and add up their combined losses or is there any better way to do it?<\/li>\n
  2. Once the bend radius is small enough, even the fundamental mode seems to disappear but the modelling shows other modes. Are those other modes real? I don’t understand where they are coming from.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
