


{"id":37380,"date":"2019-08-29T06:30:32","date_gmt":"2019-08-29T06:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-element-meshing\/"},"modified":"2019-08-29T06:30:32","modified_gmt":"2019-08-29T06:30:32","slug":"ansys-element-meshing","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-element-meshing\/","title":{"rendered":"Ansys element meshing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi guys,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>How do we refine or rectify a element after meshing is done.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>If I have a irregular shape and have to go with quad meshing and after meshing when I check the element quality ,I see some bad elements.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I know how to select the bad elements but don&#8217;t know what to do with it.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I have tried refinement but it didn&#8217;t work, and I even get a few TRI elements even though I specified ONLY QUAD .<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I have been doing it like a trial and error method ,like I have been altering the element sizes,growth rate and relevance. I have got to a point where I have increased the element quality to the max(or the quality which my PC can withstand).
