Previously, I used the VCLEAR and VDELE commands to delete elements and then recreate coarser ones using VEXT. The nodal temperatures from the previous elements were stored and reapplied to the coarser elements. However, this approach requires leaving the \/SOL processor to enter the \/PREP7 processor and then returning to the \/SOL processor to resume the calculations.
