{"id":37223,"date":"2019-08-20T10:13:37","date_gmt":"2019-08-20T10:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/check-your-mesh-message\/"},"modified":"2019-08-20T10:13:37","modified_gmt":"2019-08-20T10:13:37","slug":"check-your-mesh-message","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/check-your-mesh-message\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Check your mesh&#8221; message"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, I&#8217;m trying to evaluate the pressure drop in a pin fin array in Fluent and imported a part that represents one of the repeating stripes of the fluid volume.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/635b8352-81f2-4daf-bb2f-aa7d01546cc2\/4a25a5d2-70c3-4097-ba0c-aaaf00a5e6cc_1.inlet.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/635b8352-81f2-4daf-bb2f-aa7d01546cc2\/572d3556-8894-4c8d-a271-aaaf00a63986_1.symwalls.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I selected one end as the inlet, the other as the oulet and imposed a symmetry boundary condition in Fluent on the side walls<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is what my mesh looks like:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/635b8352-81f2-4daf-bb2f-aa7d01546cc2\/9dba195b-ca62-42c0-9ec8-aaaf00a665af_1.mesh.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However when I select &#8220;check case&#8221; before running the calculation, it gives me this message box:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/635b8352-81f2-4daf-bb2f-aa7d01546cc2\/71696f34-1707-4310-87ad-aaaf00a6af02_1.mesherror.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t find anything (obviously) wrong with the mesh and I&#8217;m confused about what to do.
