For example, the surface layer at the top of a rectangular model is heated (x, 50, Z), and at a specific time after the laser heating ends (e.g., 2e-9 s).<\/p>\n<p>In the same case,<br \/>if the temperature data plane is taken from the ZX plane (XYZ axis is the default direction in ANSYS),<br \/>the ZX plane for the model surface (X, 50, Z) &amp; an internal point of the model (X, 40, Z),<br \/>with the display time at 2e-9 s,<\/p>\n<p>The result diagrams shown in the solution indicate an issue with uneven temperature distribution. The attached figures are screenshots of the model surface and the internal points of the model, respectively.<br \/>The internal points of the model show a problem of uneven temperature distribution (A).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/07\/06-07-2024-1720231051-TEMP uniform (1).png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Is this uneven phenomenon highly related to the mesh division? Currently, the mesh used is tetrahedral.<br \/>How should the settings be adjusted to avoid this physically unrealistic result?<br \/>Additionally, I have seen suggestions from others to use a hexahedral mesh. I have tried this meshing method as well, but occasionally this uneven temperature distribution still occurs.<br \/>Is it necessary to add extra mesh at the interfaces between different layers of materials?
