


{"id":37048,"date":"2019-08-08T18:27:50","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T18:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fluent-fault-tolerant-meshing-doesnt-finish-workflow\/"},"modified":"2019-08-08T18:27:50","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T18:27:50","slug":"fluent-fault-tolerant-meshing-doesnt-finish-workflow","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fluent-fault-tolerant-meshing-doesnt-finish-workflow\/","title":{"rendered":"Fluent Fault-tolerant Meshing doesn&#8217;t finish Workflow"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>ANSYS 2019 R1<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"\/thread\/trying-out-fault-tolerant-fluent-meshing\/\">successfully generating<\/a> a very simple Fault-tolerant mesh on some very simple geometry, I am now trying to apply it to more complex geometry.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I click the Compute Size Fields button at the bottom and it seems to complete, but the item in the Workflow never advances to a green check mark and so the workflow has stalled.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/3e825b35-df61-45f5-9693-a81101684b62\/b16a736c-17aa-402a-8e96-aaa3012fff58_2019-08-08-14-19-57-a-fluent-(with-fluent-meshing)-fluent@rocd2242.corp.carestreamhealth.com--[3d,-p.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The console output looks like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/3e825b35-df61-45f5-9693-a81101684b62\/47d26d2d-1cb3-4712-8a1c-aaa30130a4cc_2019-08-08-14-28-40-a-fluent-(with-fluent-meshing)-fluent@rocd2242.corp.carestreamhealth.com--[3d,-p.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I right mouse button on the Compute Size Field(s) in the outline and select Update, and the same messages repeat in the Console, but still it does not go green check mark.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>ANSYS 2019 R2<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">I made a copy of the geometry and started over in 2019 R2.&nbsp; I got further, and the workflow is a little different and the units are now in mm.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">Under Describe Geometry and Flow,&nbsp;I selected Internal Flow and answered Yes to Would you like to create large caps.&nbsp;
