Hi,<\/p>\n

I am currently doing a spectrum analysis and I am comparing two methods:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. First, I use an existing APDL script ;<\/li>\n
  2. Then, I try to do the same with Workbench Mechanical.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the APDL script, I have 2 commands for damping :<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. DMPRAT : where my damping coefficient is implemented ;<\/li>\n
    2. SV : where my damping coefficient and my spectrum is implemented.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      However, when I use Workbench Mechanical, in the spectrum system, I implement the damping coefficient. But when I look at the file.dat, I only see the damping coefficient in the DMPRAT command. The SV command contain spectrum values, but not the damping coefficient.<\/p>\n

      When I compare results between these two methods, I obtain different results (due to the damping I suppose).<\/p>\n

      My questions is:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. When I want to implement damping in a spectrum analysis (in Ansys Classic ou Workbench Mechanical), which command should I use ? (DMPRAT, SV, both ?)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
