My goal is to sweep mesh the ribs and quad shell the panels inbetween. I&#8217;m having a hard time figuring out the easiest workflow. Here are the things I do.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Keep bodies separate, use contact, turn MPC on to capture rotations between Solid and Shell\n<ol>\n<li>This method works but it is hard to maintain all these contacts as you can imagine there can be 9 full panels, each with 10-20 plate members<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s also very hard to get a conformal mesh between the shells and solids&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Share Topology for each of the 9 full panels individually using the Spaceclaim &#8220;Workbench&#8221; ribbon bar\n<ol>\n<li>This causes an issue with the solid body, the solid body will have the shells with it as one single part<\/li>\n<li>It will no longer mesh<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Put each panel in its own component with solid and shell, go to component properties -&gt; Analysis -&gt; Share Topology -&gt; Select &#8220;Share&#8221;\n<ol>\n<li>This will allow me to sweep the ribs and quad mesh the shells<\/li>\n<li>The shell to solid connection does not restrain rotational degrees of freedom, the shells pivot<\/li>\n<li>Applying contact with MPC to try and eleviate this issue does not work <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/07\/02-07-2024-1719933315-Solid to Shell Issues.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Please help me find the easiest method to perform this task.
