style="font-size: 12pt">It’s my first time using Ansys Static Structural, and I’m trying to check if the battery container is safe enough through hard condition.

Assumption 1: The boundary condition is x: -40G(-392.4m/s^2), and fixed support for mount holes.
Assumption 2: There is about 2mm margin between surfaces and segments.
Assumption 3: The segment can support stresses or forces through surrounding surfaces.
Assumption 4: The segment is rigid.

I modeled the surfaces of the container as 2D, and the segments and mounts as 3D.

I have to assume the segments to be rigid, so I set the mounts, outer surfaces, and the inner surfaces flexible, and the segments rigid.

And I set the mounts and the outer surfaces “Bonded” each other, and the +x surfaces of segments(contact) and the -x surfaces of inner surfaces(target) “No Separation” each other(by assumption 3).

Finally, I gave fixed support for mounting holes, and acceleration x: -392.4m/s^2.

Then I got the results, and I thought something went wrong.

In total deformation, the left two inner walls seems to have no displacement at all, but only the right wall has 6mm deformation.

I think my settings can’t simulate my assumption properly, especially the interaction between segments and inner walls.

I’ve tried to modify the settings, but I can’t get it.

I uploaded the image about my settings, and I would really appreciate if you could help me solve this problem.

Thank you very much.

<span
