I am interested in finding a single-mode waveguide structure, and for this purpose, I am obtaining a 95% TE polarization fraction (Ex) for mode 1. However, for the same mode, when I observe Ey and Ez, the intensity of Ey is larger than that of Ez. Since the propagation direction is along y, Ey should be negligible or of the lowest intensity.
