


{"id":366930,"date":"2024-05-15T11:43:25","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T11:43:25","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/geometry-deforms\/"},"modified":"2024-05-15T11:43:25","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T11:43:25","slug":"geometry-deforms","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/geometry-deforms\/","title":{"rendered":"Geometry deforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everyone,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to model the stress- and strainfields in a layered system after fabrication, therefore I am recreating the fabrication process to see which internal stress acts after fabrication.<br \/>During fabrication a plain material is glued on the layered system, this step I did recreate by ekill and later ealive. However, after the ealive command and emergance of the glued material the geometry deforms which I don&#8217;t understand. It seems like the connections between the layers are suddenly gone (I defined beforehand all connections of each layer as connected). Layers seem to intersect and overlap between each other.
