


{"id":365497,"date":"2024-05-04T03:06:01","date_gmt":"2024-05-04T03:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/why-does-the-line-not-grow-but-only-stagnate-in-polyflow\/"},"modified":"2024-05-04T03:17:20","modified_gmt":"2024-05-04T03:17:20","slug":"why-does-the-line-not-grow-but-only-stagnate-in-polyflow","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/why-does-the-line-not-grow-but-only-stagnate-in-polyflow\/","title":{"rendered":"Why does the fluid flow not grow but only stagnate in Polyflow?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My problem is described as below in the diagram.&nbsp;The problem I set up is the isothermal flow problem of Newtonian fluid<span lang=\"VI\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"VI\">The material I use here is water with a density of 998.19 kg\/m^3 and an entered Newtonian viscosity of 0.0010053 Pa.s. <\/span><span lang=\"VI\">Geometry is symmetrical<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"VI\">The boundary conditions I set up are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"VI\">Inlet: Q = 1.26705E-05 m^3\/s<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"VI\">Wall: Zero <\/span>wall velocity (vn = vs = 0)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Outlet: Outflow<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Axis: Symmetry axis<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Results: According to the vector chart, the fluid flow is physically correct, the flow does hit the wall and goes out the outlet.
