I would like to set up a coarse mesh for the fluid domain and refine it dynamically, near the Lagrangian structure to which the fluids are coupled(*CONSTRAINED_LAGRANGE_IN_SOLID).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/15-04-2024-1713192991-mceclip1.png\" width=\"483\" height=\"322\"><\/p>\n<p>The sphere inside is a lagrangian structure (PID=1). I want the S-ALE mesh elements close to the sphere to be refined dynamically.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have tried the following using *CONTROL_REFINE_ALE keycard<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/15-04-2024-1713193419-mceclip3.png\"><\/p>\n<p>I have set up a Pressure based refinement condition with the Reference value as 0 so that all ALE solid elements that are coupled to the lagrangian sphere can be refined.<\/p>\n<p>MMSID=3 is a MULTI_MATERIAL_GROUP_SET containing all the MM groups in the model (Air and Water).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I get the following error when including this keycard to refine the ALE mesh, whereas the solution works fine without the *CONTROL_REFINE_ALE keycard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/15-04-2024-1713193765-mceclip5.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Could someone please explain if there is a possible solution to this error or if there are mistakes in my model definition.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks in advance!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-362283","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["82592","37202"],"_bbp_author_ip":["23.52.43.16"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["658"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_topic_id":["362283"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27814"],"_bbp_engagement":["37202","82592"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["362403"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["362403"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2024-04-16 08:30:33"]},"test":"abh-palaniswamychandrasekaranstudent-uliege-be"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/362283","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/362283\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=362283"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
