


{"id":36177,"date":"2019-06-26T13:48:56","date_gmt":"2019-06-26T13:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/error-in-static-structural-simulation-for-thermal-deformation\/"},"modified":"2019-06-26T13:48:56","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T13:48:56","slug":"error-in-static-structural-simulation-for-thermal-deformation","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/error-in-static-structural-simulation-for-thermal-deformation\/","title":{"rendered":"error in Static Structural simulation for thermal deformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi everyone,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I was trying to solve a steady-state thermal deformation problem in ANSYS Workbench 17.2.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I solved the steady-state temperature field in Steady-State Thermal and tried to solve the thermal deformation in Static Structural.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The geometry and engineering data are shared, and the solution of Steady-State Thermal will be imported to the setup of Static Structural.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/2a278639-5d06-4eb9-b880-aa7800dc6409\/ff142ba9-d7d7-4097-a910-aa7800e2b59c_1.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>There are 13 solid parts and 1 fluid part in the geometry, and the temperature field can be solved and imported to Static Structural as thermal loads.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However, when I tried to solve the deformation in Static Structural, there&#8217;s always an error:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An Internal Solution Magnitude Limit Was Exceeded.&nbsp;Please check your Environment for inappropriate load values or insufficient supports.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Here is the setting in Static Structural:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>1. Imported Load&nbsp; &#8211; Imported body temperature. (Min: 25.106 ; Max: 36.556)<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>2. Fixed Support or 0 displacement in gravity direction on the bottom face of the whole structure. (Both had been tried)<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Please give me some suggestions, thank you!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><hr class=\"bbcode_rule\" \/>\nadded information<\/p>\n<hr class=\"bbcode_rule\" \/>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>1.
