What I want to see is the movement of the beam when a lateral accelearation is applied to the model, while the other end of the beam and the bottom side of the cubic element is fixed. However, I have found that the beam is penetrating the cubic element, which is not realistic. I tried firctionless contact by setting adjust to touch, however this prevents the lateral movment of the end part of the beam as well, which is again unrealistic.
Could anyone give me a solution on contract definition to allow beam to move upto the boundary of the cubic element but does not penetrate?

Thank you for reading.

["post-360754","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-contact","topic-tag-penetration","topic-tag-removing-penetration-2","topic-tag-static-structural","topic-tag-structural
[{"0":
291218","52629
23.206.193.41"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0
1765
unanswered
1712562171:233281
360754
27791
52629","291218
2
4
361162
361162
2024-04-08 16:38:31
["GET
