How can I do this in 2D?<\/p>\n<p>It seems like I cannot apply current along the wire as the current excitation only applies out of or into the plane (z-direction) which produces circular magnetic field like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"This is what I get using Maxwell 2D.\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/02-04-2024-1712070918-Untitled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>I can obtain somewhat expected using 3D like this. But the pattern is not so good I suspect is due to mesh.<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"This is what I get using 3D.\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/02-04-2024-1712071051-Untitled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>I am quite new to this software and can&#8217;t seem to find any&nbsp;tutorial on how to do this.
