{"id":35945,"date":"2019-06-13T20:30:59","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T20:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fluent-19-2-fails-to-fully-load\/"},"modified":"2019-06-13T20:30:59","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T20:30:59","slug":"fluent-19-2-fails-to-fully-load","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/fluent-19-2-fails-to-fully-load\/","title":{"rendered":"Fluent 19.2 fails to fully load"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello and thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Fluent 19.2 starts to load, then I get this:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Host spawning Node 0 on machine &#8220;P52-PC&#8221; (win64).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;WARNING: No cached password or password provided.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;use &#8216;-pass&#8217; or &#8216;-cache&#8217; to provide password<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>and then it gets stuck. If I was trying to start it from Workbench I also get the error &#8220;<span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">the fluent application failed to start&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m on Windows 10 and on an administrator account, which has no spaces in the name.&nbsp;The Ansys Student installation was done as administrator. It&#8217;s a new laptop with no previous installations of Ansys.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I tried reading other threads; here&#8217;s some stuff that I&#8217;ve tried.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>I tried starting Fluent with different processing options. Parallel w\/ 0 processes STARTS; Serial and Parallel w\/ 2 FAILS.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>I tried disabling Defender, then disabling the Firewall, then disabling both at the same time. FAILS in each case.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>I tried starting Fluent from the command prompt with&nbsp;&#8220;C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Studentv192fluentntbinwin64fluent.exe&#8221; ^-r19.2.0 3d -meshing &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;FAILS<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>I tried starting Fluent from the command prompt with&nbsp;&#8220;C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Studentv192fluentntbinwin64fluent.exe&#8221; ^-r19.2.0 3d -g -meshing &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;FAILS in the same way (prints the same warning in the cmd window)<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Opening from Workbench or from Start menu both FAIL.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>I tried rearranging the contents of the PATH system variable (not the user one) to move the paths starting with C:Windows on top.
