I am a new member of the student community. I hope that this message is posted in the right place. <\/p>\n

To briefly explain my problem, I am trying to create a CFD Simulation with Fluent around a 2D airfoil placed in a circular study domain. The goal of this simulation is to obtain results from different angles of attack of the airfoil. To do this, I would like to create input parameters (2 components of the fluid direction) related to my far field (Circular study domain) so that I can implement many angles in the workbench parameters set and simulate only one time. I selected pressure-far-field for the far field boundary condition type. <\/p>\n

There, two problems occur. The first is that Fluent crash when I click “OK” to validate the creation of the “New input parameter”. I have got this error message :<\/p>\n

I must then force the closing of Fluent.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The second problem occurs once I have successfully created the input parameters after many tries. There, the parameters are unassigned. That means that they are related to nothing, they are supposed to be “Used in” the far field of my domain. Thus, they are unusable and I am stuck with no solution. The only way in found to successfully create usable input parameters is to set the far field boundary condition type to velocity-inlet. Then, I can create a parameters as I wish, but my domain is circular and this type of boundary condition is not suitable for such a domain. <\/p>\n

If anyone has encountered this problem before and found a solution, it would help me a lot.<\/p>\n
