{"id":357018,"date":"2024-03-14T06:38:58","date_gmt":"2024-03-14T06:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/gpu-a100-cannot-be-seen-in-ansys-v241-mechanical-and-fluent\/"},"modified":"2024-03-14T06:38:58","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T06:38:58","slug":"gpu-a100-cannot-be-seen-in-ansys-v241-mechanical-and-fluent","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/gpu-a100-cannot-be-seen-in-ansys-v241-mechanical-and-fluent\/","title":{"rendered":"GPU A100 cannot be seen in ansys v241 mechanical and fluent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GPU A100 cannot be seen in ansys v241 mechanical and fluent:<\/p>\n<p>We are trying to run Ansys mechanical and fluent of v241 on GPU server.<\/p>\n<p>GPU server consists of two AMD EPYC 7452 CPUs and four Nvidia A100 GPUs, and its OS is ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS (Focal Fossa).<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia driver is v520.61.05 and GPUs are seen by driver command such as nvidia-smi. (CUDA is also installed and it is v11.8)<\/p>\n<p>Ansys v241 is successfully installed, however, any calculations are not performed on GPUs.<\/p>\n<p>We had tried GPU allocation with each module, i.g., on the mechanical, proceeding Solve &gt; Solve Process Settings &gt; Advanced Properties and setting GPU resources.
