I plan to import a nominal build file, then determine any possible distortions, and use this information to produce a compensated model to then send to the AM machine.<\/p>\n<p>Once a component is manufactured and I wish to compare the model-predicted distortions to the experimentally-characterized distortions (through something like a point cloud scan using an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gom.com\/en\/products\/3d-measuring-machines\/atos-scanbox-series-4\">ATOS ScanBox Series 4<\/a>), is there a specific format requirement for the data (e.g., .stl)? Can Additive Print then provide another &ldquo;map&rdquo; of the locations that show the greatest regions of disparity between the model and physical part?
