That is, the strain is in the order of 1.3%, however since the frequency is high, the strain rate is of the order 10^2 to 10^3\/s. Based on your experiences, can someone advise if it is okay to perform the simulation in transient or do i need to switch to explicit. I need to consider inertia and damping effects.<\/p>\n<p>I read the manual&#8217;s recommendation which mentions &#8216;Events with time scales of less than 1 second (usually of order 1 millisecond) are efficiently simulated with this type of analysis. For longer time duration events, consider using a Transient analysis system&#8217;. So, does it mean simulating such events in transient will not give the correct results ? I am more familiar with transient hence this query.
