I am having some convergence issues, which I am able to resolve by increasing the number of substeps, which is computationally very expensive. In my simulations, I am only interested in parameterizing the maximum peak reaction force at a boundary condition (encircled in red in the first picture). The unconvergence always occur after the peak reaction force is reached and I am always able to get the peak force value, which is good. However, since the overall solution does not converge the solution is marked as red (as an error) and no data is retained in “Parameter Set” as shown in the 2nd picture.

I don’t have any knowledge of ANSYS APDL. Is there any simple way such that only converged substeps’ data is retained in the solution when the whole solution is not converged? I know the unconverged substep number is always set as 999999. Is there any simple APDL command I can put somewhere in the ANSYS Mechanical model tree to make the solution green, so that only converged substeps’ data is retained in the solution and the Peak Force value appears in the “Parameter Set.”

Any help would be much appreciated!
