Currently, I&#8217;ve enrolled in Ansys Innovation courses and am actively working on solving simulations in the practice section. However, I find it challenging to grasp the underlying reasons behind certain commands, especially in explicit dynamics, such as the use of initial time step, maximum time step, dummy thickness, etc. While I&#8217;ve attempted to consult the Ansys Mechanical Guide, its vast amount of information is overwhelming. I have a basic understanding of solid mechanics.
