


{"id":343296,"date":"2024-01-05T04:35:48","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T04:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/?post_type=topic&#038;p=343296"},"modified":"2024-01-05T04:35:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T04:35:48","slug":"ultrasonic-horn-gain-analysis","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ultrasonic-horn-gain-analysis\/","title":{"rendered":"Ultrasonic horn gain analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello all,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m actually doing an analysis on the ultrasonic welding and I&#8217;m looking to find the gain of the welding horn.&nbsp;About the welding, I already know the amplitude of the converter and the gain of the booster.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/05-01-2024-1704426404-mceclip2.jpg\" width=\"367\" height=\"122\"><\/p>\n<p>To find the gain of the horn, I&#8217;m looking to use the software ANSYS with Modal analysis, for know, I just simulate the natural frequency, and I found the reasonance frequency around 30kHz where the horn have Y displacement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/05-01-2024-1704426620-mceclip4.png\" width=\"754\" height=\"339\"><\/p>\n<p>Actually, I&#8217;m looking to find the gain of the horn, so the idea is to put an excitation at the top of the horn and looking the displacement at the bottom to find the gain.<\/p>\n<p>In transient analysis, I put this type of displacement with the amplitude and the frequency :&nbsp;A*sin(2*pi*f*time) with f=29589.
