(-15,10032) via public ip (2023 R2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have problems to connect to the license server outside of our local network:<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is the setup:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The license server is hosted on a machine in place A with its own local network<\/li>\n<li>The license for the server was generated with the local hostname of the machine (myLocalHostname) and its hostid<\/li>\n<li>To access the license server from outisde of place A I have forwared the ports for ansyslmd (static configured port 50725), lmgrd (1055) and the ANSYSLI_PORT (2325) in the router of place A (and of course in the Windows firewall of the machine)<\/li>\n<li>Also I have setup a dynDNS to get the public IP of the router of place A (myDynDNS.de)<\/li>\n<li>On my client machine I have setup the license server (in Licensing Settings 2023 R2) with port 1055 and with Server 1 = myDynDNS.de<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This is what happens:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">A) I access the license from within the local network of place A but with the public ip:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Menu &#8220;License servers&#8221;: Test-Button results in a green checkmark<\/li>\n<li>Menu &#8220;Feat in use&#8221; log:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<pre>1055@myDynDNS.de<br>------------------------------------------<br>lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2022 Flexera. (-15,10032)<\/pre>\n<p><strong>This time it doesn&#8217;t work.<\/strong> I am wondering though why the marked line still shows &#8220;1055@myLocalHostname&#8221; and not &#8220;1055@myDynDNS.de&#8221;.
