I’m trying to simulate an earthquake on the basis of a cubic structure (Figure 1) using the infinite element of ansys, the use of the element is explained in the link below.<\/p>\n

I’m applying example 3 of the link in ansys. My base is fixed. In this way, I decided to apply the remote displacement command to its base<\/span>, all directions are restricted, except in the direction of the earthquake. I can not solve this mistake:<\/p>\n

The value of UZ at node 1609 is 2052922.18. It is greater than the<\/strong><\/p>\n

  current limit of 1000000 (which can be reset on the NCNV command).<\/strong><\/p>\n

  This generally indicates rigid body motion as a result of <\/strong>an<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

  unconstrained model. Verify that your model is properly constrained.<\/strong><\/p>\n

obeservation: I am declaring the name of the infinite element as et, matid + 100, without this I have problems. I’m implementing this way:<\/p>\n
