I import the engine cowling geometry from a .step file, and in Design Modeler, it appears as shell bodies (it is not an error, the original .step file contains surfaces). To create the fluid domain (representing the air passing around and into the coverage), I require a true 3D object of the engine cowling. This is essential for using the boolean (subtract) tool to subtract it from the ambient air volume.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this, I need to transform the initial shell bodies of the engine cowling into a 3D object (with walls having a thickness).
