I have a problem in static structural.<\/p>\n

I applied Bonded Contact between shell body and solid body, but errors occur.<\/p>\n

When I checked the mode shape, they penetrated each other.<\/p>\n

Let me show pictures below. <\/p>\n

There are two parts. one is shell body(Midsurface) and another is solid body.<\/p>\n

shell body is upper part(with red face).<\/p>\n

I applied bonded contact like below.<\/p>\n

Because the shell body is midsurface, there is gap(thickness\/2).<\/p>\n

Both of materials are Structural Steel.<\/p>\n

I tried under procedures.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Program controlled<\/li>\n
  2. MPC(radius 1mm ~ 1000mm)<\/li>\n
  3. BEAM<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    But 1, 2, 3 didn’t work like picture below.<\/p>\n

    The contact in picture above is contact 4.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    And also I set the variable contactAllowEmpty=1, but it didn’t work.<\/p>\n

    Another approach was ‘Node Merge’ between faces, but the result was not what I indeed.<\/p>\n

    In this situation, what should I do?<\/p>\n

    How can I apply bonded contact to them?
