I have been previously successful in HFSS 2020 and 2022, but in the 2023 version my process fails and models I created in older versions do not import correctly.<\/p>\n<p>My steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create cylinder of radius 5.78 mm and box with width and height corresponding to WR42 waveguide dimensions, with propagation direction along the z axis.<\/li>\n<li>Move box along z axis so that there is 50 mm space between end of cylindrical waveguide and start of rectangular waveguide.<\/li>\n<li>Select inner faces of the circular and rectangular waveguide, right click &gt; Edit &gt; Surface &gt; Create Object From Face<\/li>\n<li>Select both sheet objects created in step 3, right click &gt; Edit &gt; Surface &gt; Connect<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In HFSS 2020, this produces the a model similar to this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/27-11-2023-1701110201-mceclip0.png\"><\/p>\n<p>In HFSS 2023, step 4 fails and throws several errors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/27-11-2023-1701110316-mceclip1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>If anyone could please direct me on how to address this issue, help would be greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-319634","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-3d-geometry","topic-tag-ansys-hfss","topic-tag-curved-geometry-2","topic-tag-error","topic-tag-hfss"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["303120","28551"],"_bbp_author_ip":["23.218.248.135"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["1493"],"_bbp_topic_status":["answered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["319634"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27793"],"_bbp_engagement":["28551","303120"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["326531"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["326531"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2023-12-05 23:05:40"]},"test":"lkmalavasiwpi-edu"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/319634","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/319634\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=319634"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
