friends<\/span><\/span><\/span>,<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">I am trying to validate the lift and drag coefficients of a symmetrical 3D airfoil.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After studying the independence of the solution from the network, I chose the final network and proceeded to obtain the lift and drag coefficients at different angles of attack.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Incompressible flow and Re=120,000.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">I created the structure mesh with hexahedral elements in ICEM as shown below:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The above network has &nbsp;Y+&lt;1 &nbsp;and has KW SST turbulence model.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">I used the following boundary conditions:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><a class=\"wp-colorbox-image cboxElement\" href=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/17-11-2023-1700217309-aaaaaaaaaaa.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" different angles of attack, I drew its graphs as follows: (Blue curves)<br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 120px\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><a class=\"wp-colorbox-image cboxElement\" href=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/17-11-2023-1700217480-1.PNG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">According to the figure above, the lift coefficient has a very large error compared to the experimental results, while the drag coefficient has a smaller error.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Do you guys think this is a mesh issue
