I have a problem and I am wondering if anyone can help me.

I have a simulation set up where I have a rotating arm inside a hexagonal enclosure. The simulation is set up with a turbulent model with air as the fluid. I created a Boolean around the arm (Boolean 1) and then another Boolean (Boolean 2) around the first Boolean. Boolean 1 is the cylinder and Boolean 2 is the hexagonal enclosure. Boolean 2 is set as the enclosure and has no inlets or outlets. My aim for the simulation is to show (with streamlines or vectors) the airflow around the arm as it rotates.

My issue is that in order to generate streamlines I need to specify a start point. If I do this then the streamlines will flow from that point forwards or backwards which will bounce off the enclosure walls and look messy. What I want is to show the arm moving and the streamlines moving round the arm as it moves. I am curious if this is possible and how I would go about setting it up?

The max speed of the arm will be around 150m/s. I know the pictures show the speed is higher but this is just a test.

Cheers,

Iain

["post-31796","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry
[{"0":
3968
Anonymous
false
publish
null
normal
0","0","0","0","0
2947
236170
unanswered
publish
31796
27792
62","22555","156877
3
5
70893
70893
2018-11-29 09:27:21
["GET
