


{"id":31417,"date":"2018-11-08T23:45:11","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T23:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/matched-surface-mesh-at-the-interface\/"},"modified":"2018-11-08T23:45:11","modified_gmt":"2018-11-08T23:45:11","slug":"matched-surface-mesh-at-the-interface","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/matched-surface-mesh-at-the-interface\/","title":{"rendered":"Matched surface mesh at the interface"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Hi,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I am trying to get a matched surface mesh at an interface between two different bodies and not able to get it working.&nbsp; This is to simulate heat transfer from molten metal to a crucible.&nbsp; I created the geometry as two parts, with one body in each part,&nbsp;in the design modeler.&nbsp; When I brought it to Meshing, I am able to get the correct interface under &#8220;Connections -&gt; Contacts&#8221;.&nbsp; But, when I generated the mesh, the surface meshes on those two bodies are different. Therefore, there are some gaps between the meshes (see the attached images).&nbsp; How do I get a matched surface mesh at the interface?&nbsp; I tried inserting &#8220;Mesh -&gt; Insert -&gt; Contact Match&#8221;.
